Product Description:

The Logix® 520MD digital positioner is designed to provide superior positioning and tuning functions while offering convenient setup and powerful diagnostic tools. This positioner is equipped with a multi-variable gain tuning algorithm that enables it to make large step changes with minimal overshoot while also having the resolution to respond to very small step changes.

The Auto-tune procedure of the Logix 520MD positioner cycles the actuator to produce a measured response and selects the gain values that provide optimal actuator performance. The Auto-tune function also includes a gain modifier selector that can increase or decrease the calculated gain to further enhance the overall performance of the actuator.

For easy configuration, the Logix 520MD positioner also has DIP switches to select tuning mode and other common settings. Additionally, the tuning sets of the positioner can be modified with a handheld or ValveSight™ software to accommodate a wide range of actuator sizes and types.

Features:

The commissioning process can be made easy with fast and simple configuration options. This allows for a quicker setup time, which can prevent delays and save time. Self-calibration and auto-tune features are also available, with the added benefit of an adjustable gain selector. This allows for improved accuracy in the process control system.
